The 2026 Solheim Cup begins Friday at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands, with Team USA seeking to defend the trophy it reclaimed two years ago in Virginia. World No. 1 Nelly Korda headlines the Americans, while Europe will rely on rising star Lottie Woad and experienced contender Charley Hull as the hosts look to regain the Cup on home soil.
The opening foursomes match will feature Korda and Allisen Corpuz against Woad and Hull at 1:40 a.m. ET. Korda and Corpuz have formed one of the event’s most successful partnerships, winning all four of their previous foursomes matches together. “It’s really easy to play when you’re playing off the world No. 1’s ball,” Corpuz said, adding that the pair’s calm personalities create a strong partnership. Hull, however, defeated Korda 6 and 4 in singles at the previous Solheim Cup and said a rematch would be “a really good match” if the two meet again.
The remaining Friday morning foursomes matches are Nanna Koerstz Madsen and Celine Boutier against Alison Lee and Lauren Coughlin at 1:52 a.m.; Esther Henseleit and Leona Maguire against Andrea Lee and Lindy Duncan at 2:04 a.m.; and Maja Stark and Linn Grant against Rose Zhang and Jennifer Kupcho at 2:16 a.m. Friday afternoon’s four-ball pairings had not yet been announced.
Angel Yin’s availability is another key storyline for the United States. Yin returned to competition two weeks ago after missing two months because of a stomach illness, but she said she and captain Angela Stanford had been open about her condition and agreed she was ready to compete. “This is the biggest event in women’s golf,” Yin said. “With belief like that and confidence from her to back me, why wouldn’t I show up?” Golf Channel will televise the event from 1:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET on Friday and Saturday, and from 5 a.m. to noon on Sunday, with streaming available through GolfChannel.com and the Golf Channel app.
